Herpangina
Herpangina is the medical name given to the mouth blisters. This is a painful infection of the mouth. This disease is mostly found in the infants and young children. This disease may get spread by the fecal-oral routes. It may also spread out through the respiratory droplets.

The herpangina or mouth blisters are caused by the coxsackieviruses, mostly coxsackievirus A. this disease may also be caused by the coxsackievirus B and echovirus. This disease easily spreads out in the summer months. The disease may also be idiopathic in nature at times

Most of the time, the disease is asymptomatic in nature. The patients suffering from herpangina has the following symptoms, if any:-
- The patient may experience high fever.
- There may also be sore throat.
- Lesions may appear in the back of the mouth and tonsillar pillars.
- The lesions may later become ulcers.
- The epithelial cells of the mouth may show signs of edema.
- The patient may suffer from ear pain.
- The patient may also suffer from headache.
Try to wash your hands prior to eating food and after going to the toilet. Also, try to use handkerchief at the time of sneezing.
